One character I was particularly intrigued by was the anonymous young man. He was at the scene of Gavin's death, so I felt that I could trust his story. When he was first talking about what happened, he was comfortable talking about how Gavin was playing before the car came. He was sitting very casually in what appeared to be his occupation in an industrial workplace. However, when he began to speak of the accident, he got up and became very local. I expected him to be more mournful, but instead he was angry. He said he could smell the alcohol on the man driving as soon as he opened the car door. Smith had a difficult task playing a character that is both a different gender and race from her, and I feel that she did an excellent job. The costume was appropriate for the character, and I felt the set and lighting were comfortable for the character, which made the actress's performance more believable.
